Jasper should have a charger because there's nothing around to charge. I've driven to Hinton in the past in my Model S, and driving the extra distance from Hinton to Jasper makes the return to Edmonton difficult, so we would normally skip it. A supercharger would make my trip easier if I spent time in Jasper first.
Having said that though, it is obvious that electric cars are becoming more popular, so this charger will come. Tesla sales combined with owner satisfaction should make that obvious. This supercharger will come. The question is, what downside would there be to having environmentally-focused drivers in the Jasper area? Is the average disposable income of a Tesla driver something that would be beneficial for Jasper?
